1) Barn Quilt Trail
Sedan is the starting point of the Barn Quilt Trail. A beautiful, tranquil, winding drive through the scenic countryside. This charming 26.8-mile route invites visitors to slow down and take in the colorful barn quilt squares that brighten gates, fields, fences, and barns along the way. Since 2022, more than 75 unique barn quilt squares have been added, creating a vibrant outdoor gallery that celebrates local artistry and rural heritage. 2) Butcher Falls

3) The Hollow
Hollow Garden was a junk yard for 75 years, before volunteers turned it into a beautiful flower garden with a boardwalk to walk to a small waterfalls. It has a one room school house and gazebo. 4) Sedan City Lakes
Sedan's city lakes are located on the western edge of the unique Chautauqua Hills region in Southeast Kansas. The area around the lakes is characterized by sandstone covered hills, the tops of which are covered with Blackjack Oak trees. The lakes are surrounded by 600 acres of City-owned and managed property. You will find paved boat ramps, camping hookups, a hiking trail, and great fishing at both lakes.
